England Rugby Travel is the exclusive Official Travel Agent in Great Britain for Rugby World Cup 2019™

Museums, markets, restaurants, shopping – Tokyo is a diverse and wonderful city to explore and will create a spectacular backdrop to Rugby World Cup 2019™.

From its shrines and temples, street food and nightlife, Tokyo will be a very special experience.

Our travel and event team have just returned from an extensive recce trip across Japan to ensure you have all the information you need before the tournament.

"Our aim on these trips is to gather as much information as possible to share with clients to enable them to have a great time without doing the hard work!” said Sarah McDonald an Event Team Leader at England Rugby Travel. “We appreciate it’s more than just a rugby experience, so we want to make it as special as possible.”

“Tokyo is one of the biggest cities in the world which means it can sometimes be difficult to find what you want to do. The Tokyo National Museum is the oldest and largest of Japan's museums and a great place to start. It’s packed with artefacts and art and a must-see during the tournament.”

The tournament is now less than a year away however our plans are years in the making.

“One of the main differences of travelling with us is our extensive preparation to ensure clients have as much information as possible and know that they are in trusted company,” Sarah added. “This tournament is not like many others – there is a language barrier to overcome and the culture is fascinating but very different to UK culture.

That is why we have spent so much time in Japan, to understand the destinations that we plan to visit with our guests."
